Ideally store your Schogetten in a cool, dry place where the temperature is consistently between 14°C and 18°C. But some of our products, such as the skyr-flavoured Schogetten, are best enjoyed ice-cold for the ultimate taste sensation. In this case, it’s best to store them well chilled at refrigerator temperatures.
We’re sorry to hear you haven’t been able to enjoy our products as much as normal. Please send us a photo of the products, as well as the L-code found on the back of the packaging. We’ll look into the matter and get back to you.
Our Schogetten are available in more than 60 countries worldwide. If you are unable to find Schogetten or you are looking for a specific product, simply send us your address, and we’ll be glad to have a look and see if and where Schogetten can be bought in your country.
Reducing the amount of sugar in our chocolates is unfortunately not that easy. A number of factors come into play here, including that of sugar being an important texturising ingredient. Using sugar substitutes would also considerably impact the taste of our Schogetten. But we are aware of the high sugar content in our products, and are constantly working to improve our recipes. And let’s not forget that Schogetten are, after all, sugary confectionery designed to be enjoyed in moderation.
Incorrect storage and the associated temperature fluctuations can cause a whitish coating to form on a chocolate’s surface. This retrospective crystallisation of fat is known as ‘fat bloom’. While the highest quality standards are upheld when manufacturing our Schogetten, this change is unavoidable in certain cases. But fat bloom only affects the visual appearance of the chocolate; it has no negative impact on its delicious taste.
Yes, we run competitions through our various communications channels. But please only trust competitions organised through our official channels. Unfortunately, there continue to be fake competitions appearing online using our brand. We sadly have no control over this, and apologise for any confusion. Please contact our Consumer Service if you encounter one of these. Rest assured we’re doing our utmost to protect you as a consumer and our brand.
The folded cardboard box and cardboard slipcase are a necessity due to the individual pieces that make our Schogetten ‘blocks’ unique. As such, they cannot be replaced by the plastic flow packs commonly used by other chocolate-block manufacturers. The aluminium foil in turn seals our Schogetten, and plays an essential role in keeping them fresh. We’re constantly working to improve our products and to use the most sustainable packaging materials possible. Our aluminium foil, for example, is already 100% recyclable, and its efficient re-usability makes it a low-emission raw material.
We’re constantly working to improve our products and adapt them to consumer preferences. For recipe-related reasons, it is unfortunately currently not possible to guarantee palm-oil-free manufacturing of all our products. We do, however, only use sustainably grown, RSPO-certified palm oil. And we’re already able to make our flavours Praliné Noisettes, Trilogia Strawberry, Stracciatella, White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Alpine Milk Chocolate, and Alpine Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts without palm oil. You might even have tried one of these already?
The back of our packaging contains a list of ingredients. But if you want to play it even safer, you are also welcome to ask us, and we’ll look into it if you have a specific intolerance. We hope you’ll still find something suitable in our wide range of Schogetten chocolates, and that you’ll love the taste of them.
